Reach to Teach brings art to Richmond classrooms

Our flagship in-school program is back for another year. Here is what it means for local students, and how you can help.

For more than a decade, Reach to Teach has brought working artists into Richmond classrooms, giving students hands-on time with real materials and real encouragement. This year the program returns bigger than ever.

Eleven years of art in schools

Since 2015, teaching artists have led sessions in local schools, reaching more than 900 students. The idea is simple: access to the arts should not depend on where you live or what you can afford.

Watching a child realize they can make something beautiful is exactly why we do this.
