About the artist
Primarily a wildlife and animal portrait artist using graphite, charcoal, pastel and colour pencils. I have always liked to draw as a child but growing up got in the way of this passion. It wasn't until I retired after losing my first dog that I started to draw again. At first, I just wanted to draw my dog because I missed her so. I took a few drawing and watercolour Classes, but eventually decided that watercolour was not my thing. I took some free pastel and graphite workshops online and started teaching myself animal portraits using dry medium. I began posting my drawing on social media to get some feedback and people appear to like them. Some even requested to have me draw their pets on commission. Today, I continue to learn from artists I found on the internet and experiment techniques to improve my skills.
