About the artist
Fanny Ip was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Canada in 1992. Throughout her life, she has always been fascinated with Chinese watercolour painting. The interest was cultivated during her childhood years, however, she did not pursue further on this hobby during the working years. Not until settling down in Richmond, she rekindled the passion of Chinese watercolour painting and started taking lessons. Her paintings have been exhibited at Asia Invitation Art Exhibition in Seoul, South Korea; exhibitions held by the Chinese Canadian Artists Federation in Vancouver; and Richmond Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Club, Richmond. Fanny’s artworks have been juried and accepted into different art exhibitions held by the Community Art Council of Richmond, Richmond Art Coalition, Federation of Canadian Artists, South Delta Artists Guild, One life Art Gallery and North Vancouver Arts.
